The 17th edition of the NADA Auto Show 2025 concluded on Sunday at Bhrikuti Mandap, Kathmandu, with Health and Population Minister Pradeep Paudel as the chief guest at the closing ceremony.

The six-day exhibition, inaugurated earlier by Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli, recorded a total of 176,789 visitors, making it the largest in the event’s history.

This year’s Auto Show distinguished itself with its grandeur, showcasing the Deepal eVTOL flying car, UNITREE robots, and a diverse lineup of vehicles. Observers noted that the 2025 edition surpassed all previous shows both in scale and in visitor turnout. Despite challenges in the automobile market, the exhibition was seen as a boost not only for the industry but also for the national economy.

Throughout the Auto Show, NADA organized daily interaction sessions on key themes. The first day featured an International Auto Trade Dialogue with representatives from the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) and the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM).

On the second day, discussions focused on “Driving the Future: EV Adoption in Nepal,” held in collaboration with IMN and attended by officials from the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies. The third day included a session on “Stability in Credit Policy and the Long-Term Future of the Automobile Market,” hosted with the Nepal Economic Journalists Association under the leadership of senior officials from Nepal Rastra Bank.

On the fourth day, Drone Hub Nepal founder Prabin Bhattarai led a session on flying car technology, while another session titled “Youth Mobility and the National Dream” was organized in collaboration with the Nepal Auto Journalists Association.

On the fifth day, Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Chief Nawaraj Adhikari presided over a discussion on road safety and transportation, while NADA General Secretary Surendra Kumar Upreti chaired a separate program on the theme “Made in Nepal Mobility.”

On the final day, the NADA Central Executive Committee, during its 21st meeting, announced a historic proposal to transform the NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal into the Federation of NADA Automobiles Nepal. A special general assembly has been scheduled for Bhadra 24 to endorse the proposal, which is regarded as an important step in preparation for NADA’s Golden Jubilee year.

The Auto Show also recognized outstanding stalls in different categories. The award for Best Four-Wheeler Stall went to MAW Auto Corp Pvt. Ltd. (Deepal), while Royal Enfield (Alpha Automotive Pvt. Ltd.) received the award for Best Two-Wheeler Stall. In the category of Light Commercial Vehicles, Adhwet EV Pvt. Ltd. was honored, while Hitech Pvt. Ltd. secured the award for Best Supporting Stall. Global IME Bank Ltd. was named the Best Stall among banks and insurance companies.

With record-breaking attendance, innovative displays, and the landmark announcement of its transformation into a federation, the NADA Auto Show 2025 has been marked as a milestone event in Nepal’s automobile sector.
